The Pomeroy Ranger District offers cabin rentals in the Blue
Mountains year round.
All cabins range in price from
$25-$50 per night, depending upon which cabin is rented and
number of people.
Cabin rental permits can be obtained by visiting the Pomeroy
Ranger District, located at 71 west Main, Pomeroy, Washington,
or by calling (509) 843-1891 for an application packet.
Reservations will be recorded when the permit application and
required fees are received and accepted on a first come, first
serve basis.

The
Clearwater Big House Cabin |
This cabin is located 23
1/2 miles southeast of Pomeroy. The Big House has three
bedrooms (two upstairs and one on the ground floor), living
room, kitchen, and bathroom. The heater, cook stove, and
refrigerator all operate by propane. The water is turned
off in the colder months due to freezing, thus water must be
hauled. An outhouse is located nearby. It is a short
drive along the breaks of the Tucannon River to Sunset Point
from the cabin. Horse and hiker trails into the Tucannon
drainage can be accessed from the cabin. During winter,
the cabin is well suited for snowmobiling on groomed snowmobile
trails and for cross country skiing.
This cabin is located 23 miles southwest of Pomeroy. The
cabin is a single story structure that was constructed in
1935. The heater, cook stove, refrigerator and lights all
operate by propane. Water is not available on this site,
thus must be hauled. An outhouse is located nearby.
This cabin is located at the foot of Clearwater Lookout Tower, a
94 foot steel tower constructed by the CCC in 1933. Many
breathtaking views are within a short driving distance from this
cabin.

Godman
Guard Station Cabin |
The Godman cabin is a two-story structure located approximately
45 miles southwest of Pomeroy. The guard station was built
in 1933-34. The building has two bedrooms, one upstairs
and one on the ground floor, living room, kitchen and
bathroom. Propane is used for the cook stove,
refrigerator, lights and water heater. A woodstove is used
for heating. Water is available during the warmer
months. From mid-October through May, the water is turned
off to the building. An outhouse is located approximately
125 yards away is available for winter use. The cabin
offers a scenic drive along the Kendall-Skyline Road and views
into the Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness. Horse and hiker
trails into the Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness can be easily
accessed from the cabin. Winter access can be made by
snowmobile or cross-country skis along well groomed
trails. A snow shelter for winter use by snowmobilers and
cross-country skiers is located within 30 feet of the cabin.
The Wenatchee
Guard Station cabin is located approximately 30 miles southeast
of Pomeroy and 15 miles west of Anatone, Washington. The
house is a single story structure which was built in
1934-35. Propane is used for heat, the cook stove,
refrigerator, and for lighting the facility. Water is not
available on site. The building is divided up into a
living room, kitchen and a bedroom. An outhouse is
nearby. The cabin offers a panoramic view of Menatchee
Creek and access to a scenic drive along the Menatchee Creek
Canyon breaks. Horse and hiker trails into the Menatchee
Creek can also be accessed from the cabin. During the
winter months, the cabin is accessible by snowmobile or
cross-country skis along groomed trails.
